§ Mr. John MorrisThe progress of this cull has been kept under careful review. It has brought about a reduction in the number of oystercatchers, but there has142W in addition been a reduction through natural causes. In view of this, we do not think any further purpose would be served by continuing with the cull and my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has asked the South Wales Sea Fisheries Committee to discontinue it.
