HC Deb 10 December 1974 vol 883 cc136-7W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will investigate the possibility of establishing a central Scottish airport vith a view to the situation which may exist in 15 to 30 years' time.

Mr. Clinton Davis

I have been asked to reply.

I have no immediate plans for such an investigation. The British Airports Authority will shortly be acquiring Glasgow Airport following which it will own and operate the three airports at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Prestwick in central Scotland.
