54. Mr. McNamara

asked the Minister for the Civil Service how many civil servants of each rank, and from each Department, of the rank of assistant secretary and above, work in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region; and how many and with what rank and which Department are stationed in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region and North Humberside, respectively.

Numbers of civil servants of the rank of Assistant Secretary and Under-Secretary in Yorkshire and Humberside as at 1st January 1974 were as follows:

The numbers giver, above do not include staff in grades broadly equivalent to Assistant Secretary and between Assistant Secretary and Under-Secretary. It has not been possible in the time available to provide this information, but I am having inquiries made and I shall write to the hon. Member.

The numbers of non-industrial civil servants below the rank of Assistant Secretary in Yorkshire and Humberside and Kingston upon Hull by Departments as at 1st January 1974 are as follows— figures for Kingston upon Hull are shown, as those for North Humberside are not available:
