Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what action Her Majesty's Government contemplate taking, in accordance with United Nations resolutions, to discourage British companies from trading or investing in Namibia while it remains illegally occupied by South Africa.

The Government's views on these matters were made known to the House by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Com- monwealth Affairs on 4th December and in his further statement circulated in the OFFICIAL REPORT.—[Vol. 882; c. 1555–66]. I have nothing to add.
