HC Deb 06 December 1974 vol 882 c653W
Mr. Ovenden

asked the Secretary of State for Employment it he will give the date on which the Conciliation and Arbitration Service was requested to intervene in the dispute at B.P. Refinery (Kent), the dates of meetings which its officers have attended and the parties with whom these meetings were held.

Mr. Booth

The Conciliation and Arbitration Service has been helping to try and resolve this dispute since it began on 21st October. I understand that a number of meetings have been held. These have involved the management, the Joint Craft Trade Union Negotiating Committee, and the Transport and General Workers' Union representing the process workers.
