§ Mr. BoothThe Government expect negotiators to have regard to the TUC guidelines, which recommend the negotiation of settlements to compensate for rises in the cost of living, taking into account that threshold agreements will already have given some compensation for current price increases.
§ Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will seek powers to ensure that threshold payments are not paid to those earning more than £2,500 a year.
