HC Deb 05 December 1974 vol 882 c559W
Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if, in view of the drop in milk production in the South-West and elsewhere, he is satisfied that there will be adequate supplies of cream to the consumer this Christmas.

Mr. Bishop

I appreciate the problem this winter. But the trade has always given high priority to the requirements of this market at Christmas and I expect them to be met this year, bearing in mind that for a few days over the Christmas period the industry intends to draw on supplies of milk normally used for other products.
