BrownGeneral comparisons cannot be made because, under the terms of the 1947 tripartite agreement between the United Kingdom, India and Nepal, Gurkha soldiers in the British Army are paid at the same basic pay rates as their counterparts in the Indian Army, 443W with special supplements when they are serving outside the Indian subcontinent.
Gurkha pay and allowances therefore vary according to the circumstances. I shall write to the hon. Member with the details.
