HC Deb 03 December 1974 vol 882 c429W
Mr. Richard Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what are the current arrangements for diplomatic representation of Her Majesty's Government in Guinea-Bissau; and whether he is considering supplementing them.

Miss Joan Lestor

Her Majesty's Government do not yet have diplomatic representation in Guinea-Bissau. We proposed to the new Government there early in September that diplomatic relations between our two countries should be established with the appointment of a non-resident British ambassador. We are awaiting confirmation that this is acceptable.
