The Gwynedd Area Health Authority has been told of the special arrangements it may make for the remuneration of doctors providing casualty services in peripheral hospitals in areas where there is a large number of summer visitors.
Because of a misunderstanding the now defunct Caernarvonshire Executive Council assumed that a small number of doctors providing casualty treatment in peripheral hospitals came under the same financial arrangements as if the patients concerned had been treated at the doctors' own surgeries. This was not done in the case of the Anglesey Executive Council.
