asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take further steps to improve the supply of savings stamps to post offices in view in particular of difficulties being experienced by retirement pensioners.

After a temporary disruption of supplies due to an industrial dispute National Savings stamps are now on sale again at post offices outside London. Supplies are now being distributed to post offices in London and I expect stamps to come on sale there during the next week.
