§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for Industry what are the numbers of Hull-based firms moving into new factory premises and the number of firms not based in Hull opening new factory premises over the past four years.
§ Mr. Gregor Mackenzie,pursuant to his reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 29th November 1974; Vol. 882, c. 278], gave the following information:
I regret that comprehensive information for new industrial projects completed is not available. During the past four years one Government advance factory has been occupied by a firm from outside Hull. From January 1971 to September 1974, 98 industrial development certificates have been issued to firms wishing to carry out projects in the Hull travel-to-work area. The FDC exemption limit was increased from 10,000 sq. ft. to 15,000 sq. ft. in July 1972 and I have no details of projects below these limits.
