HC Deb 30 April 1974 vol 872 c421W
43. Mr Ralph Howell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much difference the proposed changes in the cost of milk, coal and electricity, respectively, will make to the weekly budget of the average family.

Dr. Gilbert

On milk and electricity, I would refer the hon. Gentleman to the detailed figures for a range of household circumstances and consumption rates which I gave the hon. Member for Staffordshire, South-West (Mr. Cormack) on 10th April—[Vol. 872, c.223–226.] On coal and coke, the increase in expenditure averaged over all households will be about 10p a week from November.
