asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the patient-general practitioner ratio in the Bournemouth area.

Dr. Owen

The ratio—as at 1st October 1973—is 2,048 patients per doctor, which is below the national average number of patients per doctor.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the patient-general practitioner ratio in the Wessex Regional Hospital Board area.

Dr. Owen

The estimated ratio—as at 1st October 1973—for the area for which the Wessex Regional Hospital Board was the hospital authority is 2,280 patients per doctor.
