asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many jobs are involved in the order of warships for Chile and their location.

Mr. John Fraser

The orders were placed with two Clydeside firms, N arrow and Scott Lithgow. About 850 workers are directly employed by the firms on these orders. There is also a substantial number of employed by subcontractors.
