HC Deb 29 April 1974 vol 872 c355W
Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what number of parking spaces is to be provided in the new underground car park in the courtyard of the Palace of Westminster; what is the total cost of constructing the car park; and what is the resulting cost per parking space.

Mr. Charles R. Morris

There will be about 500 parking spaces and the cost will be a little under £2.5 million excluding landscaping, which is still under consideration. The final cost per car space is estimated to be about £5,000.
