Mr. Money

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what his proposals are with regard to the implementation of his Department's plans for the Ipswich southern bypass; and whether he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend hopes to be in a position to put alternative routes to the public for comment towards the end of June. Regarding the implementation of plans for this bypass, I refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Minister for Transport on 3rd April to Questions from my hon. Friend the Member for Wolverhampton, North-East (Mrs. Short) and the hon.
