HC Deb 10 April 1974 vol 872 cc154-5W
32. Mrs. Winifred Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many persons have duties specifically and exclusively looking after Scottish interests in the renegotiation of the terms of EEC membership; and what plans he has relating to increasing that number.

Mr. Hattersley

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland will be closely involved in the formulation of policy throughout the renegotiation. He has upwards of 150 officials in his Departments who are directly concerned with our European policies over the wide range of specifically Scottish interests.
