HC Deb 09 April 1974 vol 872 c143W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has for increasing the provision of geriatric beds in Fife over the next few years; and by how many beds this provision will fall short of the total requirement estimated for 1980.

Mr. William Ross

The present plans are to provide 240 additional geriatric beds in Fife by 1980. This will leave a requirement for 36 beds on present estimates and the Fife Health Board will be considering how to meet the deficiency.
