Mr. Ralph Howell

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if she will publish a table showing price movements of the following foodstuffs in Great Britain in 1973, and if she will compare these price movements with those of the same foodstuffs in (a) the EEC as a whole, and (b) the rest of the world for the same period: wheat, beef, pork, butter, sugar, milk, eggs, and animal foodstuffs.

Information which is readily available is provided in the following table. For some commodities representative "world" prices and average prices for the EEC as a whole are not available. In these cases price quotations on important markets have been included.
