§ Mr. Moneyasked the Secretary of State for Industry what is the position of such war service as is treated as established service for the purpose of assessing length of service in regard to the Post Office Widows and Orphans Pensions Fund and with regard to the Post Office Corporation's proposal to charge payments towards this fund out of gratuities payable on retirement.
§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieI understand that the Post Office is following broadly the Civil Service practice with regard to the widows' and children's pension arrangements in question, and that it is not changing the employee's liability in respect of war-time service except at his own request.
