§ VISCOUNT HANWORTHasked Her Majesty's Government:
In view of the need to conserve energy, whether they intend to upgrade the requirements for factory insulation made under the Thermal Insulation (Industrial Buildings) Act 1957; and why the Act has only been implemented as far as factory roofs are concerned.
§ LORD BALOGHThe Government are considering what changes should be made in factory insulation standards, but it will be some time before we shall be able to come to a conclusion. Existing standards, which came into force in 1959, reflected the circumstances prevailing at that time.
