HC Deb 01 April 1974 vol 871 cc296-7W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will now undertake a special survey of all hospital authorities so as to ascertain the number of children with congenital heart disorder waiting for cardiac catheterisation and the number awaiting major heart surgery.

Dr. Owen

I am already investigating the problem of queues and waiting times in all specialties. My inquiries over the next few months will certainly cover an assessment of the number of children with congenital heart disorder waiting for cardiac catheterisation and major heart surgery. After this I shall consider whether a special statistical survey is necessary.
