§ Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Minister for the Civil Service what will be the increase in the staffing requirements, salary bills, and administrative costs of the Pay Board and Price Commission consequent upon the decision to require pre-notification by category II firms.
§ Mr. Kenneth BakerSo far about 700 firms have been identified as being in category II, but it is not yet possible to form any estimate of the number of notifications which firms in this category are likely to make, or of the extra work to which the Price Commission will thereby be committed. The situation will be kept under close review.
The Pay Board will not be affected.
