HC Deb 25 October 1973 vol 861 cc641-2W
Mr. John Wells

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consideration his Department has given to siting a service station in the sandpits at Addington on the M20 where the place could be concealed rather than at Honey-hills Wood where it might be elevated and in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Mr. Speed

Preliminary consideration only. The M20 and M25 will merge at Addington with a Y-junction and also a bridge for M25 eastbound traffic, and no suitable service area could be found there now.

The proposed service area at Honey-hills Wood will serve both M20 and M25 traffic.
