HC Deb 27 November 1973 vol 865 cc121-2W
50. Sir D. Walker-Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he is aware that difficulty is caused, in the context of vehicle excise duty exemption for invalid vehicles, by the requirement that the vehicle must be conspicuously and permanently adapted ; and whether he will review the situation with a view to removing or modifying this requirement and retaining as the only criterion that the disabled person be in receipt of constant attendance allowance.

Sir K. Joseph

Any modification of this kind is a matter which must await consideration of the report by Lady Sharp on Mobility of Physically Disabled People.
