Member giving the number of children receiving nursery education in education authority schools in each area at January 1973. 9.4 per cent. of the total 3- and 4-year-old population in Scotland were then in education authority72W nursery schools or classes. It is not however possible to work out these percenages for each area since current population figures by ages are only available on an all-Scotland basis.
