§ Mr. CarlisleAs the House knows, the Government have promised a statement on their review of the law on picketing and my right hon. Friend had hoped to make a statement before now. But notice of appeal to the House of Lords has been lodged in a case which concerns an important aspect of the law, and he proposes to defer any statement until this appeal has been decided.
