HC Deb 07 November 1973 vol 863 c164W
34. Mr. Scott-Hopkins

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement on the up-to-date situation regarding the sovereignty of Gibraltar.

Mr. Amery

As we have consistently made clear, we stand by our pledge to the people of Gibraltar that we would not agree to their passing under the sovereignty of another State without their freely and democratically expressed consent.
