§ Dr. Gilbertasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will issue a direction under Section 4 of the Bank of England Act 1946 to the Governor of the Bank of England that, if a member of the Accepting Houses Committee has been involved in a major conflict of interest situation twice within a period of three years, the 104W Bank shall exclude that institution from continued membership of the committee for a period of at least five years.
