§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe purpose of the denaturing premium is to support the price which the grower receives for wheat without discouraging the well-established practice of feeding wheat to animals. The premium enables wheat that is surplus to milling requirements to be sold at a price competitive with other feed grains, and to be used for feeding to animals which are then used for human food.
