asked the Secretary of State for Employment in which new areas the Community Industry Scheme will operate.

Community industry will expand into West Cumberland; Lanarkshire; Hartlepool, South Tyneside, Easington. Hetton and Houghton-le-Spring in the North East; Kirkby in Lancashire; and Hull, Leeds and Doncaster and the Don Valley in Yorkshire. In addition the numbers in existing teams will be built up to a maximum of 100, except in Glasgow where the number will be 200.
