HC Deb 12 June 1973 vol 857 c301W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his talks with the Chinese Foreign Minister.

Sir Alec Douglas-Home

The Chinese Foreign Minister visited the United Kingdom at my invitation from 6th June to 10th June. I had two rounds of talks with him on Thursday 7th June. These covered a wide range of subjects of common concern, both in the field of international relations and in that of our bilateral relations. The details must remain confidential. I am convinced that the Foreign Minister's visit has helped to consolidate the good relations which already exist between our two countries.
