§ Mr. J. H. Osbornasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he has reached a decision on the location of the administrative headquarters of the Trent Regional Health Authority; and if he will make a statement;
(2) if he has now reached a decision about the future use of the Sheffield Regional Hospital Board Headquarters in Fulwood, Sheffield.
§ Mr. AlisonYes. The many representations we have received have been fairly evenly divided for and against the central location for the administrative headquarters. My right hon. Friend has decided that, on balance, the new Trent RHA should retain as its main administrative headquarters those of the present regional hospital board in Sheffield. He will, however, require the new authority to arrange to hold its formal meetings from time to time in Nottingham or such other centres in the southern counties of the region as it may consider appropriate.
