asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he proposes to make an order under the London Cab Act 1973.

Mr. Lane

Consultations on a draft order, as required by the Act, are still proceeding. The order will be made as soon as they are complete.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation extending the provisions of the London Cab Acts of 1968 and 1973 to the provinces.

This is one of the matters we are considering in the context of future legislation.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has yet issued an order under the London Cab Act 1973 dealing with signs of private hire cars.
