Mr. Adleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will send a circular to local authorities reminding them of their obligations, under the Noise Abatement Act 1960, to serve a notice on those responsible for the abatement of noise, particularly noise caused by amplified music from shops, causing noise pollution in the street.
