§ Mr. ChannonI recently received representations from the Manchester City Council asking that, in view of its large future programme of improvements to council housing, the levels of Exchequer assistance should be increased either generally or for Manchester as a special case. An interim reply has been sent and I will write to the hon. Member about the substance of the correspondence.
