§ Sir K. JosephI regret that in my replies to the hon. Lady on 17th July I did not clearly distinguish between undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. In-service training is for most doctors a major part of their postgraduate medical education. I am responsible for supporting, and providing facilities for, a great deal of such education, although the content and standards of training are matters for a number of professional and educational bodies.—[Vol. 860, c. 248.]
