asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many Quality Assurance personnel were employed by the Ministry of Defence on April 1, 1973; and whether and by how much these numbers will be reduced by April 1, 1974 and 1975 respectively.

LORD CARRINGTON

The number employed on April 1, 1973, was 12,870. It is expected that by April 1, 1974, and April 1, 1975, the number will be reduced to about 12,200 and 11,500 respectively.
