§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the number of times and the statutes in which retrospection has been authorised in Acts originating in his Department which have received the Royal Assent in the past three years.
§ Sir K. JosephRetrospection has been authorised in four statutes originating in the Department of Health and Social Security which have received the Royal Assent in the past three years. The statutes referred to are the Medicines Act 1971 (c. 69), Section 1 (1), the National Insurance Regulations (Validation) Act 1972 (c. 4), Section 1, the National Insurance Act 1972 (c. 57), Section 5 (5) and the Pensioners' Payments and National 193W Insurance Contributions Act 1972 (c. 80), Section 2.
