§ 28. Mr. Ellisasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will introduce legislation to make compulsory the labelling of recommended retail prices on household goods and foods.
176W
§ Mrs. FennerMany foodstuffs are commonly sold below manufacturers' recommended prices. I am not convinced, therefore, that a general requirement to mark these prices would help the shoppers. The labelling of household goods other than foodstuffs is, of course, a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.
