HC Deb 04 July 1973 vol 859 c145W
Mr. Cordle

asked the Attorney-General when Part II of the Legal Advice and Assistance Act 1972 will be brought into force.

The Attorney-General

Before deciding when Part II should be brought into force the Government wish to gain more experience of the way in which Part I of the Act is working. They also look forward to obtaining later this year the views of representative organisations interested in Part II through the medium of the conference which has been convened by my noble and learned Friend's Legal Aid Advisory Committee.
