Mr. David Clark

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the total United Kingdom national stock of butter for the latest convenient date; and how much of this is held by the Intervention Board.

On 15th June 1973 total stocks of butter in public cold stores in the United Kingdom were 101,200 tons, of which 14,363 tons were held by the Intervention Board.

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the quantity of butter being held in store in the United Kingdom under the auspices of the Intervention Board in accordance with Regulation (EEC) 985/68 as amended by 685/69 and 682/73 (Private Storage of Butter and Cream) at the latest convenient date.

At 28th June the quantity of butter which had been placed in store under private arrangements and which has been registered with the Intervention Board for purposes of grant aid was 9,190 tons.
