§ Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will undertake an inquiry of executive councils as to whether there has been an increase in the number of complaints about the deputising service, especially in London.
§ Mr. AlisonI have ascertained that none of the executive councils in greater London has experienced any such increase recently. I see no reason to undertake a more extensive inquiry, but I should be willing to consider and discuss with the councils concerned any evidence the hon. Member may have about the service provided generally by deputising services.
