§ The Attorney-GeneralThere are no full-time salaried chairmen of supplementary benefit appeal tribunals. Part-time chairmen are paid £9.45 for a half-day session and are appointed for three-year terms. The appointments are terminable on one month's notice, and for misconduct or similar causes including unfitness, and are subject to the condition that the chairman resigns if he stands for Parliament, is adopted as a candidate, or becomes a politcal agent whether full-time or part-time.
