§ Miss Quennellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects local health authority staff to have firm information about their future prospects of transfer to the new National Health Service on 1st April 1974.
§ Sir K. JosephIt is already clear that the prospects on transfer will be as good as, or, in some cases, better than, at present. The maintenance of existing services and the development of the unified service will provide enhanced career prospects generally. As the new authorities develop their management arrangements the opportunities will become clearer for these and other staff.
