JosephMy impression is that local authorities generally are concerned to secure effective liaison, but I am aware that changes in local government boundaries from next April will necessitate new arrangements for liaison in many places, and I hope that all new local authorities will give careful attention to this aspect of their social services responsibilities as soon as they are in a position to do so.
