§ 32. Mr. Thomas Coxasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what discussions he has had with representatives of physically disabled groups on the question of franking the national insurance contribution cards of people who look 325W after disabled people who thereby are themselves unable to work.

Mr. Wolrige-Gordonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will allow those who fail to receive full benefits as a result of irregular and insufficient national insurance contributions in the past to make up payment of the arrears on the basis to be agreed by a Government actuary.
§ Mr. DeanNo. The finances of the National Insurance Fund are related to payment of weekly contributions promptly, as required under the National Insurance Act. There are already generous time limits for payment after the due date within which contributions may count for benefits. Any further extension of these could only provide for options against the fund and would be unfair to contributors who scrupulously observed the requirements of the Act.
