asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will consider and make a statement on the feasibility of paying a "housewife's allowance" in recognition of domestic work, such allowance to be paid in the same manner as, and where appropriate together with, a family allowance, the scheme to be financed out of general taxation.

No. The Government's policy is to concentrate help on those groups which are in the greatest need.
