§ Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will include within the category of those entitled to claim a business ration of petrol coupons, if necessary, disabled drivers who are registered as such but do not have a DHSS vehicle.
§ Mr. Tom BoardmanI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply my hon. Friend gave to the hon. Member for Dunfermline Burghs (Mr. Adam Hunter) on 27th November—[Vol. 865, c. 98.]—for an explanation of which disabled drivers are covered by the business ration scheme. It would not be feasible to include disabled drivers who do not use their vehicles for business, or those without identifiable special vehicles, in the business ration arrangements. The special needs of such disabled drivers would however be catered for in other ways if petrol rationing were introduced.
